Drunk Driver Causes Fatal Durham Interstate 40 Accident

A serious Durham, NC accident caused by a drunk driver on Interstate 40 has resulted in one death.

The accident happened early Sunday morning around 3:40 am near the intersection of I-40 and Highway 54.  The Raleigh-Durham area had received some winter weather during the time leading up to the accident but early reports indicate that weather did not play a role in the crash.

Rather, reports indicate that Raul Herrera of High Point swerved into a Nissan Maxima and caused the crash.  The driver of the Maxmina was killed.
