Raleigh Hit-and-Run Accident Causes Serious Injuries

A Raleigh hit-and-run accident on Sunday has caused serious injuries to victim Joseph Paul Johnson.

The accident happened around 5:00 am on Garner Road near Peterson Street.  The offending driver, Alejandro Ramirez-Castaneda, has been arrested and charged with numerous crimes inlcuding hit and run, open container of alcohol, driver without an operator’s license, and driving while impaired.

The victim, Mr. Johnson, was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh and listed in critical condition.
