Raleigh I-440 Wrong-Way Driver Accident Results in Two Deaths

A terrible accident early Sunday morning on Interstate 440 in Raleigh has resulted in two deaths.

The accident happened around 4:00 am between Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road.  Apparently, a car was driving west on I-440 in the eastbound lanes when it struck a car driven by Elizabeth Bullock.  Both drivers died in the accident.

It is not clear from the limited information available whether the driver of the wrong-way car was impaired but that is certainly something that the medical examiner would typically investigate in an accident such as this terrible wreck.
