A very serious crash near Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina on Thursday night has resulted in one death and injuries to four others including driver Rebecca Currin. The wreck happened on US Highway 158 at around 10:30 pm. According to initial reports, a woman driving a 2000 Honda Accord went left of center and hit the 2018 Toyota Tundra driven by Ms. Currin head-on.
The woman driving the Honda was tragically killed while her 5-year old child in the backseat was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
Ms. Currin and four passengers in the Tundra were treated at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC but were expected to be OK.
