<p>
On Friday night, a woman riding a bicycle was seriously injured when she was hit by a van on Hodge Road.  The wreck happened in a crosswalk near the location where the Mingo Creek Greenway crosses Hodge Road.</p>



<p>According to available information, the 1996 Ford Econoline van failed to yield to the woman and hit her in the crosswalk.</p>



<p>The woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but was expected to survive.</p>



<p>The driver of the van has been charged with failure to yield.

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Buncombe County, NC (July 20, 2020) – Bicyclist Jane Beach Killed in Buncombe County, North Carolina Crash</h4>

<p>
A bicyclist named Jane Beach was tragically killed on Saturday afternoon while riding her bike near Asheville, North Carolina.</p>

<p>The wreck happened around 5:00 pm on North Carolina Highway 191.  According to available information, a woman driving a Buick struck Ms. Beach and then fled the accident scene.</p>

<p>The woman was later apprehended and has been charged with several crimes including driving while impaired, driving with a revoked license, and felony hit-and-run.</p>

<p>Ms. Beach was 56 years old and from Columbia, South Carolina.  She initially survived the collision and was transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville but tragically did not survive.</p>

<p>Greensboro, NC (July 1, 2020) – Bicyclist Injured in Greensboro, NC Hit-and-Run Accident</p>

<p>A bicyclist was injured on Monday after being hit by a vehicle that then fled the accident scene.</p>

<p>The wreck happened at the Interstate 85 North exit for Mount Hope Church Road.</p>

<p>The driver of the offending vehicle was later caught by police and has been charged with felony hit-and-run, driving while license revoked, and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.</p>

<p>There is no indication as to the severity of the injuries to the injured bicyclist except that it appears the injuries are not life threatening.</p>
