A motorcyclist named Michael Worsman was tragically killed on Friday evening in a crash in Durham, North Carolina. His wife Annie Worsman was seriously injured in the crash.

The accident happened around 11:00 pm at the intersection of Fayetteville Road and Stratford Lakes Drive. According to available information, Mr. Worsman and his wife were stopped at the intersection when they were rear-ended by a young man driving a Honda Accord.

Mr. Worsman was initially transported to Duke University Medical Center but did not survive. His wife Annie is being treated at Duke for life-threatening injuries.

The man driving the Honda was charged with several crimes including misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed. Apparently alcohol was also a factor.

A motorcyclist in Durham, North Carolina was seriously injured on Friday evening in a hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened near the intersection of University Drive and South Duke Street. According to available information, a driver on a dirt bike was traveling west on University Drive when a vehicle traveling east on the same road turned left across the path of the biker.

After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Reports indicate that the vehicle was a brown or gold Volvo XC70 or similar Volvo vehicle. Police are asking that anyone with information about the wreck call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4935 ext 29448.
