CAMERON, NC (May 29, 2020) – NC Legal News – Ron Caplan and Gabi Caplan Killed in Cameron, North Carolina Motorcycle Crash.
A terrible and tragic motorcycle crash on Friday night near Cameron, North Carolina has tragically claimed the lives of a married couple named Ron and Gabi Caplan.
The wreck happened around 8:22 p.m. as the couple were driving home from a local restaurant. According to available information, Ron was driving his beloved Harley Davidson and had slowed for traffic when they were hit from behind by a woman driving a minivan who failed to reduce her speed.
Gabi was declared dead at the scene and Ron died on Monday morning at UNC Hospital.
At this point, there is no word on charges relating to this wreck but it would seem likely that the minivan driver would be charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
