In a terrible story, 3 year Dillion Perez-Andrades, died from a blown tire that came off a passing tractor trailer rig. For more click here. According to reports, he was playing in his yard about 1/2 mile from Shannon when the blown tire struck him. He died while at UNC Hospitals.
What a terrible story. A little boy playing in his front yard gets killed from a blown tire. As a parent, I am sickened by this. Of course, we see these blown tires all over the highway and this is not surprising. Hopefully, this family will hold the tractor-trailer company accountable and maybe we can put a stop to this.
