In a terrible wreck, a young woman from Franklinton died on Monday from injuries she suffered Friday while riding an ATV near the Mitchiners Crossroads community. I have seen alot of comments on the WRAL site about who is to blame for this wreck. This is certainly a tragedy and possibly one that could have been avoided. Certainly, if someone put the cable across a road without marking the cable, that could be the basis for liability. There are numerous facts that would be important to sorting this out but, either way, a young life was lost.
