A gentleman motorcyclist named Daniel Vanherpen was tragically killed on the evening of Wednesday, March 11, 2026 in a wreck with a pickup truck.
The wreck happened at the intersection of King Road and Windfall Lane just before 9:15 p.m. Reports indicate that a man driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup turned across the path of Mr. Vanherpen causing the crash. The driver of the pickup has been charged with several infractions including misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
Mr. Vanherpen was 38 years old and a resident of Hope Mills, North Carolina.
