Drunk drivers in North Carolina claimed another victim last week in Winston-Salem, NC.
The accident apparently happened when a driver of a Mazda pickup truck crossed the center line of Meadowlark Lane and hit a Dodge Neon car driven by Shelby Lane. The driver of the pickup has now been charged with DWI and additional charges are pending. Ms. Lane did not survive the head-on collision.
According to reports, it was the eighth motor vehicle fatality in Winston-Salem this year.
