A gentleman named James Smith and his grandson were seriously injured on Friday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near Pilot Mountain, North Carolina.

The wreck occurred at the roundabout near the exit from US 52 and the Pilot Mountain exit.  According to available information, a woman pulled off the exit and entered the roundabout and struck the motorcycle driven by Mr. Smith.

Mr. Smith and his grandson, who was apparently riding on the bike as a passenger, were both transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
