Ja’Quez Johnson Killed in Elm City, NC Crash
Elm City, NC (March 20, 2026) – Ja’Quez Johnson Killed in Elm City, NC Crash
A gentleman named Ja’Quez Johnson was tragically killed on Thursday morning in a crash on US Highway 301 in Elm City, North Carolina.
Reports indicate that Mr. Johnson was traveling south on US 301 when he approached a Frito-Lay truck. Apparently, the driver of the Frito-Lay truck had pulled into the median turnaround but left part of his truck blocking the southbound lane occupied by Mr. Johnson. Mr. Johnson then collided with the back of the truck and then ran off the road.
Tragically, Mr. Johnson, who was 28 years old and from Greenville, North Carolina, did not survive.
This case is similar to a case our firm handled several years ago for a crash near Mount Olive, North Carolina. In that case, our lawyers were able to establish that the truck blocking the roadway was not visible to the on-coming driver and we secured significant compensation for the victim.
