Jonathan Taylor Killed and Sophia Worley Seriously Injured in Wreck Caused by Tractor-Trailers

Bethel resident Jonathan Jermaine Taylor was killed on Tuesday when a tractor-trailer struck the back of the car he was riding in on Highway 11 in Bertie County.  The driver of the car, Sophia Worley also of Bethel was seriously injured.

Apparently the wreck happened when the car driven by Worley slowed to make a left turn and a tractor-trailer slammed into the back of the car.  The impact caused the car to cross the center lane where it was hit by a second tractor-trailer.  Charges are apparently pending against the driver of the first tractor-trailer.
