A young woman named Kavasia Hatch was tragically killed on Friday in an accident on U.S. Highway 64 near Pittsboro, North Carolina.
The accident happened around 8:30 pm when the driver of a Honda in which Ms. Hatch was riding apparently pulled into the path of a second car. The driver of the Honda did not survive and Ms. Hatch was transported to Duke University Medical Center but ultimately passed away due to her injuries. Other people involved in the accident were taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill for treatment.
