Mattress Falls Off Truck on I-40 Resulting in Serious Wreck and Injury

A mattress fell off a truck on I-40 causing a serious wreck near Morganton, North Carolina.

According to witness accounts, Rafael Rodriguez of Hickory was driving a van behind a truck driven by Sonya Summers.  A mattress fell off of the truck driven by Ms. Summers causing Mr. Rodriguez to wreck.  As a result, Mr. Rodriguez was seriously injured.  Ms. Summers was charged with failure to secure a load.
