Maxton, NC (June 24, 2020) – Melissa Lowery Killed in Maxton, NC Hit-and-Run Crash
A woman named Melissa Lowery was killed in a serious incident in Maxton, North Carolina on Tuesday.
The incident happened at around 12:30 am when Ms. Lowery was hit from behind several times and ultimately forced off the road and into a culvert. Ms. Lowery was pronounced dead at the scene from the impact.
The driver of the second vehicle was later arrested by the Robeson County Sheriff’s office and charged with multiple crimes including second degree murder.
Ms. Lowery was 37 years old and from Pembroke, North Carolina.
