A gentleman named Roger Beghtol was tragically killed in an accident in Bar Harbor, Maine on Tuesday.
The accident apparently happened when a box truck crossed the center line of Route 3 and hit Mr. Beghtol as he was standing outside of his car on the dirt shoulder. Mr. Beghtol initially survived the accident but later passed away at a local hospital. His wife, Sally Beghtol, was also taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Mr. Beghtol was from Hendersonville, North Carolina.
The limited information regarding this accident indicates that no charges have been filed against the driver of the box truck. Presumably, police have not completed their investigation because it would certainly appear that charges would be warranted in this case.
