A very serious and tragic accident happened on Tuesday evening near Spring Lake, North Carolina and resulted in the death of one motorist. The wreck happened at the intersection of Overhills Road and NC Highway 210 at around 5:40 pm.

Reports indicate that a car pulled into the path of a second vehicle that was headed towards Spring Lake on NC Highway 210. The drier of the car headed towards Spring Lake was tragically killed.

As of this morning, the wreck was still under investigation and no charges had been filed although it would seem likely that the driver of the first car will be charged.
