As reported by WRAL TV, a wreck on Poole Road in Raleigh on Wednesday injured several people.  According to the report, Wendy Funes-Pineda pulled in front of a car driven by Brittany Kittrell.  Apparently, Ms. Funes-Pineda was driving without a license and she was also charged with an unsafe movement.  Ms. Kittrell was seriously injured and several passengers in her car were also injured.  A young boy who was a passenger in the Funes-Pineda vehicle was also seriously hurt.  Click here for the story.

In what appears to be another case of a driver not paying attention to a motorcylist, Concord man David Harmon was killed Tuesday when a commercial vehicle pulled in front him while he was riding his motorcycle down US 29.  The driver of the commercial vehicle was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. In an interesting case, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan has been sued in a class action over “most favored nation” clauses in hospital contracts. The lawsuit contends that the contracts with the hospitals were illegal and caused the plaintiffs to pay artificially inflated prices for health care services.  For more, click here.

In an interesting case, a federal judge has recently ruled that dancers at the Penthouse strip club can proceed on a class wide basis for claims that they were not paid appropriately including failure to pay overtime.  For more, click here.

In a terrible wreck, a tractor trailer veered onto the median of I-95 and killed a gentlemen mowing the grass on a riding mower.  The truck driver, Luis Valdes of Florida, apparently lost control as he approached the crew working near Exit 58.  The man killed was John McLean of Erwin, North Carolina.  For more, click here.

A terrible wreck this past Wednesday in Anson County, North Carolina resulted in two deaths and serious injuries to others.  The wreck happened on US 74 and resulted in the deaths of Charles and Agnes Tucker.  Injuredd in the two car wreck were Rex Martin, McKenzie Martin and MEagan Martin of Clover, South Carolina and Robert Clark of Charlotte.  For more, click here.

Reports are that Jacksonville, North Carolina resident Derek Schmitt was seriously injured while riding his motorcycle on Wednesday.  The wreck apparently happened when another driver turned into the path of Mr. Schmitt.  For more, click here.

As reported by the Raleigh News and Observer, 78 year old Nannie Bullock was killed as she walked across Cross Link Road Wednesday evening around  7:00.  She was struck by a pick-up driven by Walter Savage.  No charges have been filed against Mr. Savage.  For more, click here.

In a terrible wreck, a 5 year old boy was killed after the car he was riding in hit a trailer being pulled by a tractor on McNeil Road near Lillington.  The boy, Blake Rogers, was a passenger in a car driven by his mother.  Apparently, the tractor turned into the path of the car.  For more, click here.

This is obviously a terrible wreck and we are deeply sorry for the Rogers family.
