Workplace Accident in Hudson, North Carolina Seriously Injures Worker

Hudson, N.C. (January 6, 2021) – A very serious workplace accident in Hudson, North Carolina has left worker Alan Rothernberger with significant injuries.

The accident happened when Mr. Rothernberger was trapped in a machine at the Sealed Air Corp. plant for around 45 minutes. According to the limited information available, Mr. Rothrenberger was threading a machine when his body was pulled into the machine resulting in severe crushing injuries.

Not surprisingly, the family of Mr. Rothernberger is seeking answers as to why this happened. Presently, the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health division (OSHA) is investigating the incident.

Delco, North Carolina Accident Results in Serious Injuries

Delco, N.C. (December 30, 2020) – A very serious accident in Delco, North Carolina has resulted in serious injuries to a car driver.

The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. 74-76 and N.C. Highway 87 sometime on Wednesday morning. According to available information, a pickup truck pulled out from a stop sign at the intersection into the path of an oncoming car. The impact of the collision caused the car to flip over resulting in serious injuries to the car driver.

Reports indicate that the pickup truck driver may have been blinded by the sun. However, in such circumstances, the pickup truck driver clearly should not have advanced into the intersection. North Carolina drivers have a duty to proceed into an intersection only when doing so can be done safely and after maintaining a proper lookout. There is no indication as to whether any charges have been filed as a result of this collision but charges would seem appropriate against the pickup truck driver in this instance.

Jonas Gilchrest Killed in Greensboro NC Accident

Greensboro, NC (November 18, 2020) – A gentleman named Jonas Gilchrest passed away on Tuesday from injuries sustained in an accident in Greensboro, North Carolina on November 3.

The accident occurred around 3:45 pm on Randleman Road. According to available information, Mr. Gilchrest was walking across the street when he was hit by a man driving a Nissan Rogue SUV.

Mr. Gilchrest was transported from the scene to a local hospital but he tragically passed away on Tuesday.

Jaime Batcher and Dylan Poole Killed on Wet Roadway in Iredell County, North Carolina

Iredell County, NC (November 13, 2020) – A young woman named Jamie Batcher and a young man named Dylan Poole were tragically killed in an accident in Iredell County on Thursday morning after their vehicle hydroplaned.

The tragic wreck happened on N.C. Highway 115 near the intersection with Pisgah Church Road. According to available information, Mr. Poole was driving his Ford pickup truck when it hydroplaned across the center line and hit an oncoming Jeep.

Mr. Poole and Ms. Batcher, who was a passenger in the Ford pickup driver by Mr. Poole, were both killed. The driver of the Jeep was seriously injured and ultimately taken to Wake Forest Baptist for medical care.

Sinclair Larson, an All American swimmer in 2019 at the University of Tennessee, was seriously injured on Sunday evening as she was walking her dog in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

According to available information, Ms. Larson was walking across the street in a marked crosswalk with flashing lights when she and her dog were struck by a vehicle. Mr. Larson was taken to UNC Hospital with serious injuries. Her dog Jasper was also injured.
