Leland, NC (July 3, 2020) – Eric Freeman Killed in Leland, Columbus County Crash

A gentleman named Eric Freeman was tragically killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday in Columbus County, North Carolina.

The accident happened on N.C. Highway 410 just after 4:00 am.  According to available information, a man driving southbound in a Nissan Armada SUV crossed the centerline and hit a utility trailer being pulled by a Dodge pickup truck.  The Armada then crossed into the northbound lane and hit Mr. Freeman head-on.

A very serious crash on Thursday morning in Stanly County has resulted in multiple injured students who were riding a school bus.  The wreck happened around 7:15 am when a tractor-trailer ran into the back of the school bus on NC Highway 24-27.

The school bus was transporting 25 students to West Stanly High School.  Tow of the students were seriously injured as was the truck driver and a the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was also hit in the collision.

The driver of the tractor-trailer is facing charges associated with this serious collision.

A gentleman named Nathan Page was tragically killed in a crash in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday night.  The wreck happened just before 7:30 pm at the intersection of Skibo Road and Swain Street.

According to available information, Mr. Page was traveling south on Skibo Road when his vehicle collided with a Dodge Ram pickup that was turning left form Skibo onto Swain Street.

Mr. Page was ejected from his vehicle.  He was transported to the hospital but did not survive.  He was 29 years old and from Fayetteville.

A serious crash on US Highway 70 in Clayton, North Carolina has resulted in multiple injuries.  The crash happened on Saturday night around 8:00 near the intersection of Town Centre Boulevard.  According to available information, a Hyundai Tucson traveling eastbound on Highway 70 crossed the median into the westbound lane and hit a Toyota Camry head-on.  There is no word on how seriously the Camry driver was injured.

The driver of the Camry had to be extricated from his vehicle.  The woman driving the Hyundai and her 10 year old child were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.  A Chevy Traverse traveling westbound was also hit during the collision and the driver of the Traverse was also transported to a local emergency room for treatment.

There is no indication as to why the driver of the Hyundai lost control and crossed the median and into the opposite travel lane.  If we learn more about the cause of this accident, we will update this post.

A young woman named Reagan Hartley was killed on Thursday night by a driver fleeing police and driving the wrong direction on Interstate 40.

The accident happened in Greensboro, North Carolina sometime after 10:00 pm.  According to reports, Randleman police were chasing the driver of an SUV and the chase extended into Greensboro.  At that point, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office become involved.  During the chase, the SUV drove off of I-40 and then back onto I-40 but headed west in the eastbound lanes.  Shortly thereafter, the SUV struck Ms. Hartley’s vehicle head-on.  The driver of the SUV, Ronnie Fichera, was seriously injured and has pending criminal charges arising form the wreck.

A woman named Tanya Mann was traveling on Interstate 81 in Virginia on Wednesday when she was killed in a terrible accident.

The facts of the accident are not entirely clear.  However, it appears that a tractor-trailer operated by a man from Texas lost control and overturned in the median and southbound lane.  A second tractor-trailer driver was killed when his rig struck a piece of guardrail damaged in the initial wreck.  Ms. Mann apparently struck part of the first overturned tractor-trailer.  The driver of the first tractor-trailer was charged with reckless driving.

A very serious head-on collision on Monday in Rowan County, NC has resulted injuries to four people.

The accident happened on Woodlief Road and resulted in two adults and two children suffering injuries.  The crash occurred sometime just after noon and in an area where there were some icy patches on the road.

The accident happened on Seagle Street and totaled a car driven by an 18 year old girl.  Apparently, the other driver was intoxicated and crossed the center line seriously injuring the young girl.  Due to her injuries, her unborn baby was lost.  The drunk driver faces numerous charges and is being held in the McDowell County jail.
