Sanford, NC (January 29, 2021) – Sanford, NC employee of Bear Creek Arsenal injured in workplace accident.

An employee of Bear Creek Arsenal in Sanford, North Carolina was seriously injured on Wednesday in what is reported to be an equipment malfunction.  The incident occurred sometime around 4:00 p.m. and resulted in the employee requiring helicopter transport to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.

Hendersonville, NC (January 14, 2021) – A retaining wall in Hendersonville, NC collapsed resulting in one death and injuries to at least three other individuals.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at around 9:30 am at a construction site that was located to several adjacent businesses.

At this time, it is not clear what caused the retaining wall to collapse.  Typically, the North Carolina Division of Occupational Safety and Health within the Department of Labor would investigate a workplace accident such as this tragic event.  Given the significance of loss of life and injuries, a law firm such as ours would also quickly hire our own forensic team to investigate the incident.

Hudson, N.C. (January 6, 2021) – A very serious workplace accident in Hudson, North Carolina has left worker Alan Rothernberger with significant injuries.

The accident happened when Mr. Rothernberger was trapped in a machine at the Sealed Air Corp. plant for around 45 minutes.  According to the limited information available, Mr. Rothrenberger was threading a machine when his body was pulled into the machine resulting in severe crushing injuries.

Not surprisingly, the family of Mr. Rothernberger is seeking answers as to why this happened.  Presently, the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health division (OSHA) is investigating the incident.
